The Pergamon Museum

The Pergamon Museum is located on Museum Island in Berlin, and is the most visited art museum in Berlin. A few of us went yesterday after class to check out the Pergamon Altar, a Hellenic structure that was built during the second centry BC.
This model shows the Pergamon in it's original location on the terraces of the acropolis in the city of Pergamon in Asia Minor.

This is the Ishtar Gate, the eighth gate to the city of Babylon. It was considered one of the seven wonders of the world until replaced by the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
